in Medicine and Dentistry
Boston, MA
This must-attend summit and exhibition offers comprehensive coverage of both the current and future uses of 3D printing in medicine and dentistry. The conference offers over 30 expert speakers from commercial, practioner, governmental and academic organizations. Attendees will learn about the most effective procedures and business opportunities in medical and dental 3D printing; industries that are projected to generate over $5 billion in revenue by 2021.
The inaugural 2018 event held in Washington, DC drew attendees from 10 countries and 30 states. The 2019 event builds on the excitement generated last year and now adds separate two-day medical and dental tracks; two pre- conference workshops and an exciting Start-Up Competition.
Sign up for our conference email newsletter and keep current with speaker and exhibitor updates.

Speaker: Robert Wesley — St. Louis Children’s Hospital
Raising the awareness, support, and funds to establish a centralized 3D printing facility within a clinical/hospital environment is a multidisciplinary collaborative team effort. As medical applications expand with the use of 3D printing, this technology is on the rise from medical device manufacturers to hospitals.
This workshop is designed to provide the attendee with an in-depth scope of what is required to build these programs/departments from the ground up. Attendees will not only learn about the clinical, financial, and technical impacts 3D printing can have on both patient and institution, but the operational bottlenecks and how to overcome them.
Discussion topics include imaging standards, software and equipment, identifying and recruiting clinical and administrative champions, most common clinical use cases in surgical planning, personnel requirements, regulatory considerations, operational workflow, pro forma building, and complementary services.
2:30 to 2:50pm
Speaker: John Hornick — SmarTech Publishing
In this workshop, industry analyst John Hornick, author of "3D Printing Will Rock the World" and SmarTech’s new report, “3D Printed Metals: A Patent Landscape Analysis - 2018,” provides a survey of the state of the art in the 3D-printed dentistry market.
The workshop examines how 3D printing applications are taking off in the dental sector -- now and in the future, and what equipment and materials ARE CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. It also discusses major trends, including bringing 3D printing closer to the patient and into the dental office.
